The Wisconsin Cranberry Board has two new members, John Moss of Wisconsin Rapids and Amy Gebhardt of Warrens. The DATCP certified the election results on September 1, 2023, and the new members began their three-year terms on the same day.
The Wisconsin Cranberry Board is a market order board that represents more than 350 licensed cranberry producers in the state. The board's responsibilities include collecting and using assessment fees to support research, education, and marketing of Wisconsin-grown cranberries.
John Moss is a cranberry grower and businessman with over 30 years of experience in the industry. He is a past president of the Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association and is currently a member of the board of directors of the Wisconsin Cranberry Growers Cooperative.
Amy Gebhardt is a cranberry grower and environmental scientist. She has a PhD in environmental science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has worked on cranberry research projects at the University of Minnesota.
The Wisconsin Cranberry Board is committed to supporting the growth and sustainability of the cranberry industry in Wisconsin. The new members bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the board, and they are excited to work with their colleagues to promote Wisconsin cranberries around the world.
