Wisconsin's culinary prowess was on full display at the 2024 Wisconsin State Fair Grand Champion Eats and Treats competition, where Something Special from Wisconsin (SSfW) program members dominated the awards.
Out of 41 prizes, SSfW companies claimed an impressive 33, showcasing the state's rich and diverse food landscape.
The competition, designed to spotlight small and mid-sized food processors, featured a range of categories highlighting various culinary creations. From tantalizing sauces and dips to delectable sweets and savory snacks, Wisconsin's finest food artisans competed for top honors.
The SSfW program, a cornerstone of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP), played a pivotal role in the competition's success. The program's emphasis on quality and authenticity has propelled Wisconsin food products onto the national stage.

From the vibrant flavors of Madison's Dashelito's Hot Sauces & Spicy Foods to the sweet indulgence of Fazio's Chocolate in Elm Grove, the competition highlighted the diversity of Wisconsin's culinary scene.
The success of these businesses not only contributes to the state's economy but also enriches the lives of consumers who enjoy the taste of Wisconsin.
