People with a passion for agriculture who may be looking for a tax deduction at the end of the year may want to consider giving a monetary donation to the Wisconsin FFA Foundation. Abi Quinlan, who leads the Madison-based group, says FFA membership in the Badger State has reached an all-time high of 23,000 students.
"We wrap up another year filled with incredible agriculturalists showcasing their passion for Wisconsin's agriculture," Quinlan said. "From beekeeping to dairy herd management, our FFA members have thrived because of the support of our generous donors, individuals and businesses. We are excited to continue working to support local FFA chapters, members, state-level programs, and Team Ag Ed partners."
She adds that the foundation will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2023. To commemorate the milestone, staff and board members have set a goal of raising $1 million by the end of the fiscal year next summer.
