A Racine County cash crop farmer is the new chairman of the GROWMARK, Inc. board of directors. Kevin Malchine of Waterford was elected to the lead the group by his peers during a reorganization meeting this week.
A member of the board since 2012, Malchine previously served as a vice chair on the panel, in addition to operating a corn and soybean farm with his wife Kelly, and his brother and nephew.
"It is an honor to serve in this leadership position of the GROWMARK System," Malchine said. "With more than 7,000 employees across North America, this system is a key part of food and energy chains and I look forward to working with leadership to ensure we are able to leverage the size and talents of this system to keep our customers on the leading edge of technology as we help them to become even more profitable."
Malchine replaces John Reifsteck, who retired as chairman last month after 10 years at the post.
