AGCO awards Randy Bauwens 2024 operator of the year

By Jamie Martin

AGCO Corporation, a global leader in agricultural machinery and technology, awarded Randy Bauwens from Town & Country Supply Association the prestigious 2024 Operator of the Year. This accolade was presented during the ARA Annual Conference & Expo held on December 4 in Houston.

Bauwens, a renowned application professional, manages over 50,000 acres in Montana’s vital agricultural region. Known for his meticulous approach and effective communication, Bauwens ensures high agricultural yields and supports local economies.

"When Randy finishes a field, he's made note of every tight corner, ditch, or dike, so the next go around is even more effective," one of his colleagues highlighted his attention to detail.

His skills not only benefit his immediate operations but also extend through training programs for fellow operators at Town and Country, fostering a culture of excellence and precision.

Bauwens' commitment to sustainable farming practices underscores the increasing importance of professional application in agriculture, directly contributing to enhanced farmer yields and global food supply.

The honor celebrates not just Bauwens but also his fellow finalists, Travis Hughes and Jeff Jablonski, who share a dedication to pushing the boundaries of agricultural operation.

Having been a finalist back in 2013, Bauwens’ win marks a significant personal achievement and a motivational story for his peers in the industry.
