The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin says another group of speakers are set to take part in the online Dairy Signal program this week.
On Tuesday, Dr. Jimena Laporta of the University of Wisconsin-Madison will discuss the long-term effects heat stress has on in-utero fetuses and how heat stress impair mammary gland physiology and milk output for multiple lactations.
Dr. Geoffrey E. Dahl, a Harriet B. Weeks Professor in the Department of Animal Sciences at University of Florida will be Wednesday's speaker. He will take a deep dive into the latest research into implementation of photoperiod management across the dairy production cycle and learn about the effects on dairy production and animal health.
And on Thursday, Economist Dan Basse of AgResource Company will be back with his biweekly update on news and analysis of agricultural markets that will impact dairy producers and the ag industry.
