The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) recently announced the results of the 2024 Wisconsin Cranberry Board election.
On September 1, 2024, David Bartling from Manitowish Waters and Nicole Hansen from Necedah officially began their three-year terms as newly elected members of the board.
The Wisconsin Cranberry Board is made up of seven cranberry producers from various regions of the state. This board plays a key role in supporting the growth and development of the cranberry industry in Wisconsin.
Each year, it manages approximately $385,000, generated through assessment fees paid by the state's cranberry growers. These funds are allocated to several important initiatives, including research projects, educational programs, and marketing efforts designed to promote Wisconsin-grown cranberries both within the state and beyond.
