Nutrien bolsters FFA with new funding initiative

By Jamie Martin

Nutrien Ag Solutions has reinforced its commitment to agricultural education by pledging $850,000 over three years to the National FFA Organization. This support highlights Nutrien's dedication to nurturing the next generation of agricultural professionals.

The funding, distributed as $282,500 annually from 2024 to 2026, will enhance various FFA initiatives. It will support competitive events, provide professional development for advisors, and include a $10,000 scholarship for National FFA Officers at the end of their service year. This investment also extends to alumni chapters, reinforcing the agricultural learning and engagement foundation.

Spencer Harris, Senior Vice President of Global Retail Operations at Nutrien Ag Solutions, underscores the enduring value of FFA. "Nutrien Ag Solutions and our legacy companies have supported FFA for over 45 years.

Although many things have changed during that time, the importance of FFA has remained the same," he says. Harris notes the critical role of the FFA in fostering agricultural knowledge, confidence, and leadership among students.

In addition to this multi-year commitment, Nutrien Ag Solutions maintains its role as a Silver Sponsor of the national youth organization.

The company's local branches and divisions also actively support various educational and career development programs, furthering their impact on FFA chapters and members nationwide.

Through these efforts, Nutrien Ag Solutions not only contributes to the personal growth of students but also ensures the agricultural sector's future is in capable hands.
